Lest We Forget

Victoria Climbe

Victoria Climbe was born in a French speaking African country. She then moved to a French speaking European country so that she could begin a better life. Not long after she got there, she had to move to an English speaking European country in search of yet another better life.

Unfortunately, she could not speak that country’s language so she was unable to explain the physical abuse that was being given to her by her aunt and her aunt’s boyfriend. She died at the age of 8, but even in that short time she had been let down by so many people like her aunt, her school, her doctors, her social workers and many other people that were meant to protect her.

In search of a better life, Vicky moved across continents, countries and cities. She lived within different communities and cultures. Continuously, she was let down and aged 8 years, she died.
